Personal Projects
Projects I have done outside of work during my time at the University of Colorado Boulder.
St. Elmo Archives: Short Archival Documentary
In this short documentary that I created for my Digital Archives in Media class, I explore my family history in relation to the Colorado ghost town St. Elmo. I use interview footage of my father, along with archival images and documents from both public archives and my family's personal collection to tell the story of how my great great grandparents came to settle in St. Elmo and run their own business.
Regret Me: short psychological horror film
This fictional film explores ideas of guilt, regret, and acceptance through the lens of horror. Taking cues from movies like Us and It Follows, we attempted to capture the abstract concept of denial and acceptance—particularly the process by which someone shifts from denial to realization and later acceptance—through the conventions of psychological horror.
Terrence: short documentary
At martial arts academy Easton Gym in Boulder, Colorado, a teacher by the name of Terrence Moore imparts his knowledge to his students through short but meaningful speeches at the end of his classes. This short documentary takes a closer look at Terrence’s intention and dedication to making sure his insight is heard every day after every class.
